DAY SHIFT OR NIGHT SHIFT HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT

We currently have Nightshift Healthcare Assistant roles available in Canterbury, Faversham and the surrounding areas.

This position requires caring for vulnerable adults within their own homes or within community healthcare settings.

Job and Role Responsibilities:

  • To follow custom-made client care & support plans
  • To administer medication (full training provided)
  • To assist with food shopping and preparing of foods/liquids
  • To use manual handling equipment safely & correctly (full training provided)
  • To be punctual & presentable at all times
  • To be friendly and polite to our clients at all times

Knowledge, Education & Skills:

  • You must be a caring and kind-hearted individual
  • This role requires written communication therefore you must be able to read and write in English, or have translation device to assist you
  • You must understand the need for strict confidentiality

Additional Requirements:

  • Previous care work experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
  • A full clean driving licence and use of a car is preferred but not essential.
  • You must be available to work weekend shifts

DOMICILIARY CARE COORDINATOR

Reports to: Registered Manager

£25,000.00 – £28,000.00 per annum

4Life Healthcare Services Limited is a Domiciliary Care agency and we look after clients within Canterbury, Faversham and the surrounding areas.

This is not an administrative only role. This job is 30% office based and 70% field based.

Location:

You will be based at 4Life Healthcare Services Limited Canterbury, however you may be required to work from other locations at the discretion of the company.

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO COVER CARE CALLS WHERE NECESSARY. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT IS REQUIRED TO HAVE A MINIMUM OF TWO YEARS EXPERIENCE IN CARE AND HAVE A GOOD AWARENESS OF WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS.

Working Hours:

5 days over a 7-day period, including weekends as agreed with the Registered Manager. You will be required to work a minimum of 48 hours per week.

Role & Duties:

  • Ensure service users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
  • To organise and coordinate care delivery in accordance with current best practices, policies and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, and relevant regulations under the direction of the Registered Manager.

Required Skills:

Proficient Written Skills:

  • Writing and updating person-centred care plans in consultation with individual service users.
  • Auditing daily electronic care records.
  • Good IT skills

Leadership Skills:

  • Ability to induct and orientate new employees into their job role.
  • Organise and plan supervisions and appraisals for care staff.
  • Support staff welfare and encourage good working relationships.
  • Be able to manage a growing team of staff.
  • Possess good communication skills at all levels.
  • To be fully aware of all company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and manage your day in the best interests of the business.
  • To be organised and presentable at all times.

Problem-Solving Skills:

  • You must have the ability to adapt and address situations quickly
  • Have a full awareness of service users wellbeing to in the interest of safeguarding issues.

  • Ensuring no-one is discriminated against or excluded.
  • Understanding of human rights and their impact on care delivery.
  • Facilitating people to voice concerns and acting upon them.
