Supporting Young Adults
CARING FOR YOUNG ADULTS IN CANTERBURY
We believe the key to enhancing the quality of a young adult's life, is to nurture them to achieve their full potential, regardless of the daily challenges they may face.
Our supported living packages help young adults from the ages of 18, engage in activities they enjoy, through Positive Behavioural Support (PBS), whether at home or out in the community, so they can get the most out of life.
HOW WE SUPPORT
YOUNG ADULTS
Our daily visits or 24 hour care services for young adults, encourage them to participate in communal activities that help develop their social skills, as well as helping them to access education or local work. We also provide specialist care for young adults suffering from long-term or more complex health care conditions.
Our team of carers have a wealth of experience in caring for young people, from challenging behaviour or special needs, to those with more chronic conditions, such as Epilepsy or Cerebral Palsy.
We work in partnership with nurses, GPs and hospitals to create a safe, effective person-centred plan that is central to each individual, and is agreed by a parent or guardian.
We understand that every person has their own individual needs and interests, which is why we'll individually support each adult to achieve their goals and ambitions in an environment where they can flourish, no matter their level of dependency.
